We are a Uganda-registered charity based in Mbale with Charity Reg No: MC 175
Our mission is to combat poverty, enhance access to healthcare and education for children, and provide clean, safe, and sustainable water to communities across East Africa.
On Friday after Jumah prayer in 2023, a group of concerned individuals under Alauni Children’s Foundation gathered in Bilal Mosque in Mbale, Uganda to form a sister organization that is Islamically compliant. Al Amal Community Relief was established to run and manage all the activities.
The organization focuses on rebuilding communities affected by years of poverty. Beginning with a seed capital of 1 million Uganda shillings in the Alauni Children Foundation bank account, these dedicated volunteers helped propel a small education and development organization into the international humanitarian organization that today serves several countries across East Africa.
Al Amal Community Relief also works on home infrastructure, including helping communities affected by the landslides that occurred in Mbale on September 6-7, 2020 and in early August 2022.
An active and coordinated board of volunteer team keeps the administrative cost at a minimum, ensuring maximum impact for every donation.
We serve with mercy and care, especially the most vulnerable children and families.
We are accountable to our donors, beneficiaries, and ultimately to Allah.
We believe in collective effort — “Together we rebuild communities”.
